1-WHAT IS MATTER? 

Everthing in the universe is made of matter.
Table, window, pen, water, even the air you breath in is matter. 













The human body is also matter.

Matter can exist in different states and it has different properties.

-Particles are closely packed in fixed positions.
-They are rigid.

-Particles are closely packed but not as much as solids.
-They are not rigid.  are not = aren't
-They cannot be squashed or compresed.
-They haven't a fixed shape (they take the shape of the container they are in)
-They have a fixed volume.
-They can flow.

GASES

-Particles are not closely packed.
-They are not rigid.
-They can be squashed or compresed.
-They haven't a fixed shape.
-They haven't a fixed volume (they completely fill the container they are in).

99% of the known Universe is made up of plasma.

The state of matter plasma is a gas that has been energized.
